The Maryland False Claims Act Today
Kramon & Graham principal John Dougherty will present The Maryland False Claims Act Today at the February 2017 ACC-Baltimore Chapter luncheon.
Nearly every state, along with the federal government, has enacted some form of “whistleblower” legislation. With the passage of the 2015 False Claims Act, Maryland joined the ranks. The law applies not only to health care, but to any company engaged in contracting with a Maryland agency. This presentation, developed specifically for corporate counsel, will provide up-to-date guidance on the rapidly changing developments in the FCA legal landscape, practical tools for investigating, defending, and settling FCA cases and tips for minimizing risk and exposure under the 2015 False Claims Act.
