The Daily Record quotes appellate attorney Steve Klepper on his petition to the U.S. Supreme Court to review the Rahul Gupta case

Kramon & Graham appellate attorney Steve Klepper was quoted by the Daily Record in an August 9, 2017 article discussing Rahul Gupta's murder conviction. Steve is working with a group of criminal defense lawyers who are petitioning the U.S. Supreme Court to review alleged violations of Mr. Gupta's constitutional rights. "As this court has exercised its discretion to take a shrinking number of cases, petitions (for review) have focused more and more on whether a case is an 'ideal vehicle' to resolve a division of authority," Steve wrote in the defense team's Petition for Certiorari. "When faced with a division of authority among state supreme courts that warrants review, this court should be more concerned with identifying a sufficient vehicle than with waiting for the elusive ideal vehicle."
The petition is scheduled for consideration by the Supreme Court on September 25, 2017.
