The Cyclist’s Essential Checklist

Cyclists today feel more vulnerable than ever. The cyclist-motorist relationship is at an all-time low. In the past five years, Maryland has seen 3,800 car-bike crashes. Thirty riders have been killed and another 3,100 have been injured. To protect the legal rights of cyclists involved in serious crashes, Kramon & Graham trial lawyer Dave Shuster developed “The Cyclist's Essential Checklist,” which he distributed at his April 2016 presentation, “A Legal Primer for Cyclists.” Keep these tips in mind when dealing with motorists, the police, and insurance companies in the event of a motor vehicle-bike accident.
