Steve Klepper Named Maryland State Bar Association Litigator of the Year

Steven M. KlepperKramon & Graham, P.A. is delighted to share that the MSBA Litigation Section has selected principal Steven M. Klepper for the "Litigator of the Year Award," recognizing distinguished litigators for recent standout accomplishments or career dedication and achievement in litigation.

The award is noteworthy due to Steve's recognition primarily for work as an appellate litigator, including the landmark In re Antavis Chavis decision from the Maryland Supreme Court; numerous 2023 appellate court wins on a wide range of issues, including Masta v. Gambhir, in which he mentored a firm associate and a Women's Law Center attorney through their first appellate arguments in child-custody dispute, and his outstanding work on activities to improve bar, including publication of Sandler, Levy & Klepper, Appellate Practice for the Maryland Lawyer: State and Federal 6th Edition (2023).

"This award is an incredible honor because it is based on work I've been privileged to undertake on behalf of clients with important matters in our court system. That trust is a true highlight," Steve said. "My thanks go to my colleagues for their help in building my appellate practice, to my clients for allowing me these opportunities, and to the MSBA Litigation Section."

"Everyone at the firm was thrilled to learn about this most-deserved recognition. Steve is a dedicated advocate for his clients, and has achieved remarkable results for them," said David J. Shuster, the firm's Managing Principal.

Steve is the third Kramon & Graham partner to be selected, following founding and name principal Andrew Jay Graham, who was the first recipient of the award in 2012 and principal Amy E. Askew who won in 2017.
