Jean E. Lewis selected as one of Maryland's Top 100 Women
Kramon & Graham litigation co-chair selected for statewide honor
Kramon & Graham, a law firm providing litigation, real estate, and transactional services, is pleased to announce that firm principal Jean E. Lewis has been named one of Maryland's Top 100 Women by The Daily Record.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Top 100 Women Awards, which was founded in 1996 to recognize the outstanding achievements of Maryland women as demonstrated through their professional accomplishments, mentoring, and community leadership.
"I have had the privilege of working with Jean for many years," said Dave Shuster, managing principal of Kramon & Graham. "We collaborate regularly on client matters. She is an extremely accomplished trial attorney, a devoted advocate for her clients, a mentor to young attorneys, and a dedicated leader focused on providing and expanding social services to those in need. She is truly deserving of this recognition."
As a trial lawyer and co-leader of Kramon & Graham's Commercial Litigation group, Jean represents clients in highly sensitive, sophisticated litigation matters. Her clients include multinational law firms, one of the world's largest hotel companies, corporate directors and officers, businesses, and local governments. In addition to trying jury trials in courts around the country, Jean represents clients in commercial arbitrations and internal investigations. Her impressive results have led to professional honors including recognition by Chambers USA, Benchmark Litigation, and The Best Lawyers in America.
Throughout her thirty-year career, Jean has been a devoted advocate for education and social service initiatives for the disenfranchised. Since 2010, she has served on the board of directors of the Job Opportunities Task Force and the Rose Street Community Center. She has been a board member of the Fund for Educational Excellence since 2013. Jean has previously served on the boards of the Maryland Volunteer Legal Services Corporation, KIPP Baltimore, and as a member of the Federal Bar Association's Professional Ethics Committee. She is the former co-chair of the Baltimore Economic Recovery Team.
Jean is a graduate of the New York University School of Law and Carleton College.
