Ezra Gollogly Receives 2020 Leadership in Law Award
Gollogly recognized for professional accomplishments, community leadership, and bar involvement
Kramon & Graham announced today that principal Ezra Gollogly was selected by the Maryland Daily Record as a recipient of the 2020 Leadership in Law Award.
The Leadership in Law award honors those Maryland legal professionals whose dedication to their occupation and to their communities deserves particular recognition. Recipients are selected for their professional accomplishments, commitment to community service, and mentoring activities.
Ezra joins other distinguished Kramon & Graham attorneys who have received the honor in past years, including Philip Andrews, Lee Ogburn, Jeffrey Scherr, and Steve Klepper. In 2011, firm co-founder Andrew Jay Graham received the Top Leadership in Law Award and in 2018, heath care lawyer Natalie McSherry was selected for the Leadership in Law Lifetime Achievement Award.
Recognized as one of Maryland's top insurance coverage attorneys, Ezra also represents clients in complex high-stakes civil tort and business litigation cases, criminal defense matters, and lawyers and law firms in professional responsibility matters. His impressive results have led to professional honors including recognition by Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America.
"Ezra shares the qualities of the best of Maryland's bar: competence, compassion, civility, integrity, and a commitment to the community where he lives and works," said Kramon & Graham Managing Principal Dave Shuster. "Through his everyday practice, Ezra sets an example of excellence."
Ezra currently serves on the board of directors of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Baltimore, and is the organization's immediate past president. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Bar Association of the District of Maryland and is currently serving a one-year term as the Board Chair.
Since 2013, Ezra has been a member of both the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, Criminal Justice Act Felony Panel and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, Criminal Justice Act Appellate Panel. He is Co-Chair of the Business Interruption Subcommittee of the American Bar Association, Section of Litigation, and a member of other leading legal and industry organizations.
Ezra graduated from Harvard Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2000) and Reed College (B.A., 1995).
