Environmental law is an extremely broad and ever-changing area of the law that can implicate a web of federal and state statutes and regulations. We assist our clients in navigating complicated issues of environmental law that frequently have serious consequence for their businesses and their decision-making.
Our environmental practice includes extensive experience in environmental litigation, permitting, and enforcement actions. We represent regulated entities and interested parties in permitting, criminal, civil, and administrative enforcement actions. We have experience assisting clients with every environmental permit required to do business in the state of Maryland. Our experience includes matters involving coal mining, the Endangered Species Act, wetlands, riparian rights and zoning actions, oil pollution, air pollution, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, CERCLA, agricultural runoff (CAFOs), NPDES water discharge permits, water appropriation, hazardous waste enforcement actions under RCRA, TSCA and PCBs, lead paint defense, civil enforcement actions, environmental crimes, and underground storage tank litigation matters, among others.
Our clients include manufacturers, mine operators, landfill operators, real-estate developers and builders, landlords and tenants, dry cleaners, farmers, and homeowners.
